CARISA: Ranolazine increases exercise duration
- Ranolazine SR doses of 750 mg bid and 1000 mg bid significantly increased exercise duration at trough (data shown) and peak (data not shown) compared with placebo.
- Exercise duration at trough was similar for both doses of ranolazine compared with placebo. Improved exercise duration persisted throughout the 12-week period.
- Benefit was additive to background therapy with traditional antianginals.
