INITIATIVE: Effects of ivabradine vs β-blockade on primary outcome
- Patients receiving either dose of ivabradine demonstrated numerically greater increases in exercise duration than those receiving atenolol. The level of statistical significance (P < 0.001) established the noninferiority of ivabradine.
- Noninferiority as measured by time to limiting angina, angina onset, and >1 mm ST depression was also demonstrated (data not shown).
