TACT: Trimetazidine reduces angina episodes
- Angina attacks occurred significantly less frequently in the trimetazidine group than in the placebo group (P < 0.05).
- One mild and three serious adverse events were reported in the trimetazidine group; but they were considered unrelated to the study drug.
- Overall, trimetazidine was shown to be effective when added to standard therapy.
