TACT: Study design
- Trimetazidine has been evaluated in a number of small studies, with the most recent results reported in 2005. That study randomized 177 patients with angina (despite treatment with long-acting nitrates or beta-blockers) to placebo or trimetazidine 20 mg daily.
- Exercise testing (treadmill or bicycle) was conducted during run-in, at randomization, and at study end (12 weeks). The investigators do not report if this was conducted at peak or trough.
